STANDARD AC ISOLATED BACK BOXES (#ISO) GENERAL DESCRIPTION
ACE Back Boxes use new form fitting Brackets to precisely mate with Stage Pocket Bodies allowing isolation of High and Low Voltage. Available for use with all ACE 6”, 8”, or 12” deep Back Boxes.* The #ISO102BBX, #ISO1028BBX, #ISO102DDBBX, #ISO104BBX, #ISO1048BBX, and #ISO104DDBBX Back Boxes are welded 14 gauge steel with a protective cover that is discarded when the pocket body is finally installed. The box and cover have a clear zinc corrosion resistant finish. A 1/2” mounting flange is predrilled to mate with the pocket body flange. The pocket body assembly is 4.5” deep and the #ISO102BBX and #ISO104BBX back box is 6” deep providing a 1.5” work clearance in the bottom of the back box (ideal for feed thru or distribution junction).
The #ISO1028BBX and #ISO1048BBX extra deep back box is 8” deep while the pocket body assembly is 4.5” deep providing a 3.5” work clearance in the bottom of the extra deep back boxes (ideal for feed thru or distribution junction). The #ISO102DDBBX and #ISO104DDBBX double deep back boxes are 12” deep and the pocket body assembly is 4.5” deep providing an extra-large 7.5” work clearance in the bottom of the back box (ideal for feed thru or distribution junction). ACE ISO Back Boxes come with standard Electrical Conduit Combination 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, and 1-1/4” Knock Outs on opposing sides and Electrical Conduit Combination 1/2” and 3/4” Knock Outs on opposing sides.
*Not suitable for Mini or Half Back Box applications. |

Stock "CONNECTRIX" CONNECTORS utilize Neutrik® “D” mounting hole pattern for greater flexibility.
Stock “CONNECTRIX” System Connectors may be used in any stock “CONNECTRIX” System Panel(s). Utilizing the popular mounting pattern of Neutrik® “D” Series connectors with a generous rectangular cutout produces a growing array of adapter-mounted “CONNECTRIX” connectors. The adapter mount is plastic and provides ground isolation between the panel and connector. The current selection of stock “CONNECTRIX” system connectors is constantly changing, so please check out our current product information.
When ordering, please specify connector model number and type of connector as well as panel model number (#MP-100, #PNL-100, #PNL-120, or #PNL-140 Series Panels) the connectors will be loaded into. Connectors are loaded into panels using black, aluminum pop rivets. You may also choose to have your connectors loaded with removable machine screws and locking nuts, for a nominal fee. *NOTE: Specific High Density (HD) and Sub-D pattern connectors will require either 2 or 3 “CONNECTRIX” Horizontal Spaces or 2 or 3 “CONNECTRIX” Vertical Spaces, depending on connectors selected.

GENERAL INSTALLATION OF AC ISOLATED BACK BOXES (#ISO)
The #ISO102BBX, #ISO104BBX, #ISO1028BBX, #ISO1048BBX, #ISO102DDBBX, and #ISO104DDBBX AC Isolated Back Boxes are designed exclusively for use with ACE Full and Double Wide Pockets, respectively. Set the back box securely braced into the floor to provide support equal to the floor loading requirements, accounting for any height offset required for the finished floor. Standard electrical conduit may be connected to the back box on any side via combination knock-outs. The protective cover is discarded when the finished pocket is installed. Mating screw holes are provided to secure the pocket flange to the back box flange.

CLEARANCE VOLUME: Standard Stage Pocket body assemblies are 4.5" deep while the Back Box is 6" deep providing 1.5" work clearance in the bottom of the Back Boxes, making them ideal for feed thru or distribution junctions. Clearance volumes for individual Pocket/Back Box assemblies are as follows:

DURABLE CONSTRUCTION: ACE Standard Back Boxes (#BBX) are made from tough, welded 14 gauge steel (.071" thick). Ace Standard AC Isolation Brackets (#ISOBRKTx) are made from 16 gauge galvaneal (.064" thick).
EASY INSTALLATION: ACE Standard Back Boxes are easily installed into the floor or stage in a few steps. First make the cutout in the floor/stage. Second, securely brace the Back Box into the floor and be sure to provide support equal to the floor loading requirements, accounting for any height offset required for the finished floor. Third, attach any standard electrical conduit to the back box on any side via the combination knock outs. Fourth, secure Stage Pocket to Back Box using mating screw holes provided on the Stage Pocket flange and the Back Box flange.
DURABLE FINISH: ACE Standard Back Boxes have a clear zinc corrosion resistant finish.
ELECTRICAL KNOCKOUTS: ACE Standard Back Boxes come with standard Electrical Conduit Combination Knockouts. 1/2", 3/4", 1", and 1-1/4" Knock Outs multiple places typical on opposing sides. 1/2" and 3/4" Knock Outs multiple places typical on opposing sides.
PROTECTIVE COVER: Included with the Back Box(es) is a protective cover with a clear zinc corrosion resistant finish. This cover maintains a clean Back Box until the pocket is finally installed. The protective cover may be discarded after the pocket has been installed. |
