SUPER STAGE POCKET INSTALLATION FOR CONCRETE |
STEP 1 |
Locate each spot where the Super pocket(s) will be installed in the concrete. Lay the cutout for the Super Stage Pocket as follows:
SUPER STAGE POCKET CUTOUT SIZE: 10.00" x 10.00". Proceed to verify location of where Super Stage Pocket will be installed. Download the Super Stage Pocket Cutout Template. |
STEP 2 |
Remove disposable cover and locate Super Pocket Body Back Box and install conduit in accordance with local codes. Once conduit has been installed secure the Super Pocket Body Back Box to reinforcing bars, mesh, or otherwise to assure the box is fixed below the finished floor. Note: Verify that the Super Pocket Body Back Box is fixed below the finished floor to account for any height offset required for the finished floor. |
STEP 3 |
After all the work in Step 2 is complete, grease the inside of the disposable cement cover as well as the Super Pocket Body Back Box mating flange and all seams on the Back Box. Next, reattach the disposable cover to the Super Pocket Body Back Box and tape all seams. Grease the outside seams of the disposable cover as well. Note: Verify that all seams are completely sealed with tape before moving on to STEP 4. |
STEP 4 |
Once all the work in Step 3 is complete, pour concrete. After the concrete has set, remove the disposable concrete cover. With the Super Pocket Body Back Box open and secured you can easily complete the panel/connector installation and/or other terminations. |
STEP 5 |
With the Super Pocket Body Back Box secured and all wires/devices installed, begin the Trim Bezel Lid and Mounting Flange installation by installing the springs first and then the hinge pins into the Standard Lid (SL) and snapping the lid assembly into the Trim Bezel Mounting Flange. Secure the Trim Bezel Lid and Mounting Flange to the Super Pocket Body Back Box by screwing the (8) #8 black (also brass or steel) coated self tapping sheet metal/wood screws provided into the Super Pocket Body Back Box. |
STEP 6 - CARPET LID INSTALLATION |
When installing the stage pocket with a Recessed Carpet Lid (CL) cut the carpet out using a sharp knife and save the piece to glue onto the lid. Note: Make sure to cut the carpet out using the INSIDE dimensions of the Super Stage Pocket Body Back Box mating flange. This allows the extra "carpet slack" to be sandwiched between the carpeted floor and the Stage Pocket Trim Bezel Lid Mounting Flange. Carpet the Recessed Carpet Lid (CL) by trimming and gluing the carpet piece (cutout earlier) onto the carpet lid using carpet contact cement (not provided). |
STEP 7 |
Note: To avoid the screws pulling runners in the carpet, try using a hot soldering iron to burn a screw hole in the carpet before driving the bezel screws into the Super Pocket Body Back Box. Congratulations, the stage pocket installation is now complete! |
SUPER STAGE POCKET INSTALLATION FOR WOOD |
STEP 8 |
Locate each spot where the Super pocket(s) will be installed in the carpeted floor or wood stage. Place the pocket between floor joists if possible. Lay the cutout for the Super Stage Pocket as follows:
SUPER STAGE POCKET CUTOUT SIZE: 10.00" x 10.00". Proceed to make the cutout in the floor or stage. Note: Take extra care when cutting the square hole on a carpeted floor as the carpet piece you cutout will be glued back on to the Recessed Carpet Lid. Download the Super Stage Pocket Cutout Template. |
STEP 9 |
Secure the Super Pocket Body Back Box to wood floor framing, floor joist, or otherwise to assure the box is fixed below the finished floor. Provide support for the Super Pocket Body Back Box equal to the floor loading requirements. Note: Verify that the Super Pocket Body Back Box is fixed below the finished floor to account for any height offset required for the finished floor. |
STEP 10 |
Once the Super Pocket Body Back Box is secured, you can easily install conduit in accordance with local codes. After Super Pocket Body Back Box and conduit have been installed/secured, complete the panel/connector installation and/or other terminations. |
STEP 11 |
With the Super Pocket Body Back Box secured and all wires/devices installed, begin the Trim Bezel Lid and Mounting Flange installation by installing the springs first and then the hinge pins into the Standard Lid (SL) and snapping the lid assembly into the Trim Bezel Mounting Flange. Secure the Trim Bezel Lid and Mounting Flange to the Super Pocket Body Back Box by screwing the (8) #8 black (also brass or steel) coated self tapping sheet metal/wood screws provided into the Super Pocket Body Back Box. |
STEP 12 - CARPET LID INSTALLATION |
STEP 13 |
Note: To avoid the screws pulling runners in the carpet, try using a hot soldering iron to burn a screw hole in the carpet before driving the bezel screws into the Super Pocket Body Back Box. Congratulations, the stage pocket installation is now complete! |
