BACK ACCESS COVERS (#BAC) GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The #22BAC, #23BAC and #24BAC are closures for the back access opening on the ACE Full Pockets, Half Pockets, and Double Wide Pockets, respectively. The BAC provides 1/2” and 3/4” combination conduit knock-outs for easy conduit terminations. Use the BAC with Half, Full, or Double Wide Pocket installations requiring wiring closure (larger ACE #BBX Series Back Boxes, #PE, and, #FP3E Electric Panels cannot be used with the BAC). The BAC is easy to install onto the Half, Full, or Double Wide Pocket body and permits many options in a typical installation sequence.
The BAC is precision formed to slide onto the back access opening of the pocket body. During rough-in the BAC may be connected to the combination knock outs, 1/2” or 3/4”, with flex conduit and temporarily left tacked to the floor joist approximately where the pocket is to be installed. All wire can then be pulled and low voltage terminations to various connectors completed and ready for final installation into the pocket. The BAC is smaller than the cutout in the stage floor and can easily be pulled through the cutout for assembly to the pocket body. Two self-tapping sheet metal attachment screws are provided.
The pocket assembly can then be dropped into the stage cutout and all the panel/plate sub-assemblies finally installed. The BAC provides a closure for the open back access architecture of the Double, Full and Half Pockets while maintaining the benefits of easy installation. The sequence of installation can be varied such that all terminations are completed early in the job. At final installation simply screw the parts together and screw the pocket into floor. Or wait until the final install phase and do all the terminations, assembly and pocket body installation.

CONNECTORS |
 |
|
 |
| CONNECTRIX |
Stock "CONNECTRIX" CONNECTORS utilize Neutrik® “D” mounting hole pattern for greater flexibility.
Stock “CONNECTRIX” System Connectors may be used in any stock “CONNECTRIX” System Panel(s). Utilizing the popular mounting pattern of Neutrik® “D” Series connectors with a generous rectangular cutout produces a growing array of adapter-mounted “CONNECTRIX” connectors. The adapter mount is plastic and provides ground isolation between the panel and connector. The current selection of stock “CONNECTRIX” system connectors is constantly changing, so please check out our current product information.
When ordering, please specify connector model number and type of connector as well as panel model number (#MP-100, #PNL-100, #PNL-120, or #PNL-140 Series Panels) the connectors will be loaded into. Connectors are loaded into panels using black, aluminum pop rivets. You may also choose to have your connectors loaded with removable machine screws and locking nuts, for a nominal fee. *NOTE: Specific High Density (HD) and Sub-D pattern connectors will require either 2 or 3 “CONNECTRIX” Horizontal Spaces or 2 or 3 “CONNECTRIX” Vertical Spaces, depending on connectors selected.

“CONNECTRIX” SYSTEM PANEL DESCRIPTION
Many pre-cut stock #PNL-100 Series “Connectrix” System connector panels and #PSW-100 Series Switchcraft® connector panels are available for the Half Stage Pocket. Standard "Connectrix" and Switchcraft® Panels are created from high strength, tough, aircraft aluminum alloy (6061-T6) that is 1/16" (.062") or 1/8" (.125") thick. The standard panels mount with (4 or 6) self-tapping screws. Each panel is CNC machined to precisely mate with the designated connectors and in the pocket mounting holes. Each Standard "Connectrix" and Switchcraft® Panel is finished with oven cured semi-gloss black powder coat.
Most panels provide header space for custom engraving which is fast and easily accomplished on a separate dedicated CNC engraving machine. The finished panels show bright aluminum in the engraved characters and need not be back filled. ACE standard panels are flat, strong, and rigid like the typical thinner mild steel panels. Because the panels are machined and not punched they stay flat and undistorted unlike punched panels which distort in the punching process. The machined “Connectrix” style cutouts combine popular mounting patterns of the Neutrik “D” series and Switchcraft “E” series connectors with a generous rectangular cutout that mates with a growing array of adapter-mounted standard connectors. The adapter mount is plastic and provides ground isolation between the panel and connector.
Using the “Connectrix” system panel it is possible to mount any combination of modular jacks (RJ45, RJ11 etc.), BNCs, dual RCAs, mic jacks, speaker jacks and numerous other standard connectors without a single custom punch. This system provides for more connectors and mounting options in stock standard ACE panels. The benefit is faster order turn around and lower cost. Less custom fabrication for custom spec results with off-the-shelf stock prices.
